"Teaching the Bible… by grace through faith".

As ministers to youth it is our responsibility to help the parents train and equip risk-taking disciples of Jesus Christ.  There is a need to train and prepare teens to be able to defend their faith for when they move on in life to college and the working world.  What kind of foundation have we helped them lay?  We want the teens to whom we minister to be vital parts of the Body of Christ, active in the life of the church, desiring to grow in wisdom and knowledge, being equipped to share their faith with their friends and to be discipling and training those who are younger than themselves.  Each teenager has a gift to use and they will be challenged to use their gifts to serve their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Paul said to Timothy in I Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”  This is what our teenagers need to embrace and believe.  They are part of the covenant community and they need to learn that they have a role in that community, which is here at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

On each youth group night, we have a time of games, worship (singing, sharing, praying together), a time in the Word of God and also small groups.

High School Youth Group (Grades 9 to 12) Meets: Every Sunday at 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. We eat supper together from 5:30 to 6:00 sponsored by an individual or family from the church.

Middle School Youth Group (Grades 6 to 8) Meets: Every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.  The first Wednesday of each month, September through May, there is a dinner from 5:30 to 6:30.

Each month we try to have one service project (prayer walks, collecting items for Bethesda Mission, putting together college care packages, serving a meal to adults of our church and community, church clean up days, etc.) and one fun activity.
