"Teaching the Bible… by grace through faith".

Each year over President’s Day Weekend the High School and Middle School youth join with teenagers from many of the churches in our Presbytery for a winter retreat called Breakaway.  It is a weekend where our teenagers have an opportunity to get away to get to know each other better, make new friends from other churches and be challenged in what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ.  It is a weekend full of singing, talks from various youth pastors, seminars on living the Christian life, games, lots of free time and chances to share in small groups.

Covid is altering our plans for Breakaway this year.  We cannot do overnight safely so we are going to have a one day conference on February 13th meting at 8am at Trinity and getting back home at 10pm.  The conference will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster – the biggest church in our Presbytery.  The theme will be unity and we will hear from some of our youth pastors and pastors on that theme in main talks and break out sessions.  There will be a time of worship, other activities and meals catered by Jimmy Johns and Chik-Fil-A.  We will be observing social distancing, masks and eating in shifts so we are not sitting closer than we should.  See below and enjoy pictures from last year’s Breakaway.

Usually our Breakaway retreat is held at Blue Mountain Christian Retreat and Conference Center.  It is a great facility with awesome food.
