"Teaching the Bible… by grace through faith".

Each year over President’s Day Weekend the High School and Middle School youth join with teenagers from many of the churches in our Presbytery for a winter retreat called Breakaway.  It is a weekend where our teenagers have an opportunity to get away to get to know each other better, make new friends from other churches and be challenged in what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ.  It is as weekend full of singing, talks from various youth pastors, seminars on living the Christian life, games, lots of free time and chances to share in small groups.  The theme this year was “One Anothering”, where we took a look at four of the passages on one anothering; loving one another, forgiving one another, encouraging one another, caring for one another.  The seminars and other activities of the weekend will centered around this theme: dealing with difficult relationships, dealing with stress and anxiety, how to grieve, how to be other centered and thinking about issues around sexual and gender identity.  It was a great weekend to grow in our faith and get to know people from our own youth group and other churches.  Thanks for praying for our youth.  Enjoy pictures below from our weekend together.

The Breakaway retreat is held at Blue Mountain Christian Retreat and Conference Center.  It is a great facility with awesome food.
